With that kind of linear thinking, I suppose Bush could be blamed for the recent Hurricanes in Florida as well.

These weapons depots and military complexes were well known. Inspectors from the UN (including US members) had been to them, knew what was there.

What do you call the lack of planning to either a) completely destroy these places (the military certainly had the capability) or b) rapidly secure them? Keep in mind that this war *was about hunting down Saddam _and_ his WMD*. Period.

The top members of cabinet ARE responsible for the war plan. Bush is said to have reviewed it in *detail*. It is HIS responsibility as Commander In Chief.

Like it or not, the cause and effect are straight forward here. Sometimes, oftentimes, the simple answer is the right one.
