I see no sign we have taken any attention off Al Qaida. In Afghanistan where AQ had free reign, the Taliban gov't is gone - apparently for good. Three million refugees have returned to the country. The recent elections had a massive turnout and a gov't who is friendly with the US has been elected with a wide margin. The Taliban remnants pledged to prevent the elections with violence and it didn't happen. We are fighting AQ terrorists now in Iraq and I don't think we are going to retreat from that fight.
