A frontpage NYT piece today says the U.S. and Iraqi allies are "quickly
losing control" of the provincial capitol Ramadi, which the Times
says is larger and "strategically more important" than its sister
city: Fallujah. (Really?) "The city is chaotic," said one sheik.
"There's no presence of the Allawi government." Allies of the
U.S. are regularly murdered, Iraqi security forces are suspected
of collaborating with guerrillas, and there's little
reconstruction since no contractors are willing to work with the
U.S. At one point, Marines walked towards some Iraqi national
guardsmen, who muttered, "Here come the sons of dogs."

I heard this morning on the radio of a woman that was arrested last night for stealing campaign signs. She spent the night in jail and was released this morning. She was also charged with battery, when she was confronted by a woman that asked her what she was doing stealing the yard sign. She yelled some obscenity and pulled her car door open so hard it injured the yard sign owner in the back...When the police pulled the woman over her comment was "I collect campaign signs, thats not illegal is it?" They replied "it is illegal and since you have 78 BUSH/CHENEY signs.(she must only collect republican presidential signs)That is grand theft plus the battery charge for injuring the woman that reported you."
If I were her I would contact the Kerry campaign and put one of the thousands of pond sucking attorneys laying in wait after the election....
