A president is isolated from reality by his advisors. He isn't told, oh! we found this ammo dump, do you want us to guard it?

I do agree with your consensus about Bush and Kerry, not much of a choice. As for Kerry:

Disgraced our country when he came back from Vietnam...strike one
Anti-military voting record....strike two.
Voted to tax senior citizens social security...strike three...you're out!!!

Therefore...Bush is the lesser of two evils.

"does it really matter -- who took the arms -- the point is the war -- which cost many American lives and even more Iraqi lives -- did precious little to secure any weapons -- conventional or otherwise, but it did plunge us into a morass that will be difficult to extricate ourselves from."

The morass was due to one side making a war a political issue rather than a point to rally around.

Kerry: Iraq and Saddam are a menace
Now they don't have WMDs
Now they had material to build WMDs, including explosives to detonate an ABOMB, but Bush was stupid to let looters steal them.
Now it is shown it would take over 100 solders and a convey of trucks over many weeks to "loot" the 400 tons of "missing" explosives.

if we can't account for 400 tons of explosives, then losing a few drums of anthrax or other WMDs is not a logical stretch. Kerry just hopes the AMerican public is too stupid to connect the dots.

Too bad they didn't unite behind the war then debate over real issues like stem cells, inheritance taxes, rights for homosexuals to have committed relationships but not call it marriage, etc....

why so caustic?? -- I will quit posting on the subject of Iraq -- politics all.

Peace, JT -- I will post no more on the subject.

If you must persist, maybe you should start a new thread on politics, Iraq, - everything goes.

I will respond to your every post once a week.

We can agree to disagree.

And stop with the 'caustic rant'.

Cheers, JT
