This whole Afghan liberation was "Kim" to me. We finally won "The Great Game."

Ditto. The British never subdued the Pashtuns and they pretty much gave up on Afghanistan after the Second Afghan War. It was that same Pashtun independent and fierceness that beat the Soviets, out of Peshawar. But, knock on wood, we did it. We held it together. And Pakistan is starting to extend the government's control over the tribes. An end to a piece of history.
