ZOGBY CHANGED HIS MIND?

Bob Novak:
[10/28 09:53 AM]

Pollster John Zogby surprised the political world back in April with a long-range prediction that John Kerry would defeat George W. Bush for president. On Monday this week, Zogby told me, he changed his mind. He now thinks the president is more likely to be re-elected because he has reinforced support from his base, including married white women.

"I will only go to war as a last resort"...

Bush Gave Blair the Date of the Iraq Invasion 5 MONTHS IN ADVANCE
By Tom Ball
10/27/04

From the UK Independent:

Secret plans for the war in Iraq were passed to British Army chiefs by US defense planners five months before the invasion was launched, a court martial heard yesterday.
The revelation strengthened suspicions that Tony Blair gave his agreement to President George Bush to go to war while the diplomatic efforts to force Saddam Hussein to comply with UN resolutions were continuing.

Alan Simpson, the leader of Labour Against the War, said the documents were "dynamite", if genuine, and showed that Clare Short was right to assert in her book, serialized in The Independent, that Mr. Blair had "knowingly misled" Parliament.

[...]

Lt Col Warren said US planners had passed on dates for which the invasion was planned. The hearing was told Army chiefs wanted the training for the Army to start at the beginning of December 2002. However, due to "sensitivities" the training was delayed.

The court heard the training for the TA began two months late and for the regular Army one month late. Lt Col Warren was asked what the sensitivities were. He replied: "Because in December there was a world interest. If the UK had mobilised while all this was going on that would have shown an intent before the political process had been allowed to run its course."

Of course that also means that Bush was lying to the American people over and over and over again. Nothing we didn't know, but it is certainly something I would like the 'undecideds' to ponder.

This totally vindicates O’Neill and the scads of others who have reported this administration's plan to invade Iraq from day one.

If, God forbid, Bush should steal his way back into the White House for another term, we should work endlessly to impeach this bastard.

Missing Expletives

What's all this commotion I keep hearing about
expletives missing in Iraq? People are running
around in a huff and actually fighting with each
other over it.

Well goodness. I don't think a few missing expletives
are anything to be concerned about. It's GOOD when
expletives are deleted. When I was a young girl you
never heard expletives on radio or TV and you'd
certainly never read them in the newspaper. Expletives
are BAD. Once when I was having a disagreement with
my mother about how my hair should be braided for
the school picture I accidently let an expletive
slip out and my mother took me into the bathroom
and washed my mouth out with a bar of soap!

If you ask me, I think that we should all be happy
that these expletives are missing in Iraq. We should
shut up and stop arguing about it. It will be better
for the children in Iraq and it's not going to hurt the
adults there one iota to have a few less expletives
floating around stinging people's ears.

Thank you.
