Can you show that? That is can you show that modern medicine could never have progressed without the examination of cadavers? I happen to think most of the progress comes from microbiology and biochemistry. So I don't see why without cadavers alternative paths to progress could not be found. But do argue your case.

BTW, do you make an effort to read, understand, and engage in the debating the point raised or do you just read enough to have some answer to the contrary?

The point was not if modern medicine is better than ancient ones. Anything modern is better than its ancient counterpart. This is just the nature of progress. The point was that effective alternatives can be found regardless even if brut force solutions are removed. And as an example I presented two approaches to medicine that were both contemporary to each other and were both effective though radically different.
