No you've missed the pt entirely, Geoff. Market timing was something that involved impropriety on the part of fund managers giving favors to big clients -- had nothing to do with little investors like you and me -- the solution to the problem would be either to restrict what these larger players could do -- or give smaller investors access to the same kind of trading to take out the special privilege of the big guys -- instead these stupid people restricted the small investor. It was the complete reverse of what should have been done ...
