Thanks for the warm welcome. I am not sure I feel up to shepherding much of anything, but will make a feeble attempt probably.

I do have a beautiful Sheltie dog named Merlin, and he herds our whole family around. He has one blue eye and one brown one, and is a blue merle, which in case you don't know, means his fur is all white and grey and black and carmel totally mixed up. Too bad he can't read or write!

During the "lost years" I have been getting older very rapidly! Besides that, I became a vegan, which means that I not only do not eat meat, but don't use any animal products at all, no eggs or butter or milk, etc. It has been sort of a spiritual journey for me, in the sense that I can be more open to life now that I don't have to spend a lot of psychic energy blocking the reality of where my food comes from, and I am happier and more peaceful knowing I am saving animals' lives by not eating any of them.

I also enjoy reading a lot more than I did. Did anyone here read "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold? That is a book I really enjoyed.
