According to one online inflation calculator I used, $1000 when I was born in 1959 eroded to $164.48 by last year.

My dad, who was born in 1924, has seen $1000 erode to $96.81 by 2003.

Thank goodness we have one of the strong currencies.

So give it time. Like your lifetime <g>
