Russ I do not think the "battleground states" are for Kerry as much as mysteryman suggests.

I do not view PA and MI as battleground states and those ARE going to Kerry. The results are skewed by the inclusion of those as battleground states.

Still, the results presented are encouraging.

I repeat my 5
FL OH IA WI NM
IMO Kerry needs 2 of those but Bush needs 4

Right or wrong I am giving NH, MN, PA, and MI to Kerry

Play around with this:
270towin.com

The simplest Kerry win looks like this:
Kerry the west coast + HI
Kerry MA and everything northeast of there
Kerry MI IL MN

That leaves FL OH IA NM WI
I am pretty sure the map I just gave is quite accurate.
Play around and see what Kerry needs from those 5.
Yes there is a TIE in there and the chance is not all that remote unfortunately. There are numerous other possible ties as well, most involving tradeoffs in these states: NM NV CO IA WI

russ: For shame! You could vote Libertarian! Sorry
as the two Republocrats are, you are not stuck with them. You can vote without rewarding either of those two statists for their power-grabbing, bankrupting, war-mongering, life-sucking agendas. I realize how tempting it is to vote against Bush for spending like a Democrat and launching an immensely counter-productive foreign war. However, Kerry defends the war and will show Bush to be an amateur when it comes to ruining our economy. They each deserve oblivion. I will be voting for someone I actually would like to see as President, at least in preference to Bush and Kerry: Michael Badnarik.
