OT Tax cut means the amount of monetary reduction in taxes. This is evident by the fact that all politicians, including Bush, quote tax cuts in terms of dollars instead of number of bills signed or number of people affected. I fallow NLP doctrine that says the meaning of the message is defined by the receiver. In other words, if you say something and most of the people understand it to mean "A", it does not matter if you meant (or can under some circumstances show) "B". You may have read the polls that show so many people believe Saddam had something to do with 9/11 or had WMD and was an imminent threat. They did not dream up these beliefs on their own. By commission or omission they were fed those lies by Bush & Co. and since they never took steps to correct the public misconceptions I believe they meant the deception. Anyway, this discussion will probably go nowhere, so I am going to drop it.
