Why do people assume that polls showing a particular candidate ahead help that candidate? In a tight election I would think they would motivate more his opponent's supporters.

Making people think the Democrats may lose will make Bush supporters feel good, but it may also bring more Kerry supporters to the polls.

We really could get massive voter fraud this year. I'm hoping Zimbabwe will offer to send election monitors again.
