My take is all they do is prolong the agony.
A long period id disinflation interspersed with "fake inflation" like we are seeing now. Fake is a weird term cause it is real but the result of gross distortions fighting a very very real threat of deflation. I do not portend to lnow what the next bubble will be. Perhaps there is none and housing slowly sinks and the fed slowly watches it. IMO that is the BEST they can hope for.

i'm not surprised at the current show of weakness ( see my post of yesterday morning for the reasons ) , but note that money flows have regained a slight bullish bias, so i'm still in the 'short term correction' camp, i.e. the uptrend should resume soon.
