I would love some day to live in a climate that requires a pool, or an ocean, in the back yard.

I'll let you know what it's like when I visit my son. He is buying a townhouse on the eastern shore of Oahu, Hawaii, about 150 yds from the ocean. Supposed to close about Dec 1st.

Prices are unbelievable. Average price is $450k in HI, he said his was a lot more than that. Intimidating info. I'll probably have to take a bath and wear socks while I'm there. Old people like me shouldn't have to make sacrifices like that.

I think every place has it's draw backs but I'd like to think where I live is one of the best places for me.<g>
