Agree that 41 did, but not 43. Rumsfeld is responsible for a lot of what has happened, most of which IMO is directly related to having insufficient troops. W let Rummie have his way on this point. Rummie whittled away the number of recommended troops in a huge way--heck, he wanted to go in orginally with 50,000, which may have been a thought-out negotiating position.

When Shinseki and White [Sec. of the Army] protested, testified before Congress truthfully like they are supposed to do, they were sacked.

Don't worry, I'm not voting for Kerry, but the facts are the facts.
