I have many times said that I am reluctant to invest in politicized markets. Gold is one such market. With Gold, you are buying into a commodity where those who own the majority of the available stock (central banks) are strongly opposed to Gold showing a good return - and will sell Gold when needed to make good on their preference. While perhaps they cannot continue to control the market for a very long time, they can control the market for longer than I have patience or interest. I think you're better off elsewhere.
