we have been playing a decisive role in the battles of the middle east for half a century

Other than Iraq not particularly decisive, our biggest role has been as an importer of their oil which is hardly an act of war against Arab nations or Arabs in general.

We are on their turf

Aggressively only in Iraq. No where else in Arab lands do we have forces that imposed themselves on an unwilling country.

and we are sucking up their resources

Which they greatly benefit from. If we didn't buy their oil their countries would be much poorer.

and propping up governments based on who we like

What government in your opinion has long been propped up by the US, against the wished of its people, that would fall if we didn't prop them up? How have we acted unjustly in propping up this government?

and toppling governments based on who we don't like

Other then Saddam's government what Arab government did we topple recently? If recently isn't enough, what government did we topple in the 90s? In the 80s? In the 70s??
