The choppiness you anticipate is correct but the wild swings will be difficult to manage.

If Bush succeeds IMHO this will push the averages at least 5% to 8% higher in few trading days on hopes of Social Security privatization.

After 1998 crisis I think more and more of the market participants are not trading based on fundamentals but on FED liquidity, TA or momentum or pure "black box" algorithm. Presently we are quite saturated in this respect.

As to the USD - bears will be first hit before trending lower -

IV on GOOG Nov. option is around 64% which is quite high. It indicates that the stock is definitely in play.
