While Bush was drunk and awol, Kerry was returning from combat duty and trying to stop a pointless war in which millions of innocent people died. He did what he could to serve his country in every way possible. There is no more honorable service to America than to try to safe American lives. That is what Kerry did -- first in Vietnam where he actually served, and then afterwards as a person who would not be silent as our boys died in the killing fields of Vietnam. There are some who wanted Kerry and others to watch in silence as the dying when on and on and on. They are cowards for not speaking up. Fortunately there were enough brave souls -- people with intelligence and a conscience, who would stand up for what is right and stop the killing. They are true patriots.
