Some observations: Kerry and others have been very critical of the Saudis. Saudi Arabia is 90% dependent on oil for income and the unemployment rate is about 40% there. If and when we go off oil, what will happen to the millions of people there? Does Kerry care? It shows bad diplomacy to publicly attack an ally, even an ally with faults. Kerry says the world is less safe now. As a direct reaction of the Iraq War, Libya turned in his nuclear weapons. Khadafi stated he knew that the North Koreans attempted to ship WMDs to Iraq. With Pakistans help, Khalid Shiekh Mohammand was captured. He was the real mastermind behind 9/11. Pakistan also helped us stop scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan, who created an underground nuclear weapons market. The Taliban was defeated and Saddam Hussian can no longer use his oil revenues to support the Palestinian suicide bombers. It is dishonest for critics of the president not acknowledge the he has made significant inroads in making the world safer. Keep in mind that it was Zbigniew Brzezinski under Jimmy Carter who started the funding of the Afghanistan rebels, which became Al Qaeda. Bill Clinton declined Sudan’s offer to have Bin Laden turned over to him. Bill Clinton, retreated from Somalia after the Bin Laden instigated attacks in Mogadishu. As far as mistakes, Bill Clinton bombed the Chinese embassy in Yugoslavia while in the valid conflict for the removal of Slobodan Milosevic . These two former presidents, of course, support Kerry. According to the 9/11 report the reason we were attacked on 911 was our support of Israel. George Bush was the first president to officially purpose a viable Palestinian state. He attempted, with the Quartet to bring the UN and other countries to help achieve that goal. It’s failure, and delay of success in Iraq is because the terrorists know we are weak and they will continue to try and wear us down. As Bin Laden stated:. “It has been made clear during our defending and fighting against the American enemy that this enemy's combat strategy is heavily dependent on the psychological aspect of war due to its large and efficient media apparatus…” “America is definitely a great power, with an unbelievable military strength and a vibrant economy, but all of these have been built on a very weak and hollow foundation. Therefore, it is very easy to target that flimsy base and concentrate on their weak points and even if we are able to target one tenth of these weak points, we will be able crush and destroy them and remove them from ruling and conquering the World.” And “…with the destruction of the Twin Towers in New York, there occurred an even bigger destruction: that of the great American Dream and legend of Democracy. It has now been made clear to all that American dignity and values are at the lowest level they have ever reached. “ I feel we are in a time like that of before World War 2 where here were many isolationists. It took a president like FDR with the vision, determination, and sense moral duty, to see us through times when over 20,000 American soldiers were killed early the war fighting the Germans in North Africa, and when over 2,000 were killed in one day on Omaha beach. It is ironic that many of those claim to want peace, will ignore the cruelty dictators inflict and won’t rejoice when they are defeated. As Jewish concentration survivor and Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel said: “I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” Even though Arafat is now seriously ill, France recently made it clear that he was a legitimate leader. Those of you who support Israel would clearly see that Arafat was not sincerely negotiating but was working for the destruction of Israel. I feel Kerry would fall into the same trap of trying to negotiate with the anti-Jewish terrorists.
