BUSH vs. KERRY: Kerry, Bush Tied In Pennsylvania

(CPOD) Oct. 30, 2004 – George W. Bush and John Kerry are tied in the state of Pennsylvania, according to a poll by Zogby International. 47 per cent of respondents would vote for the Republican incumbent in the 2004 United States presidential election, while 47 per cent would support Democratic nominee John Kerry.

Less than two per cent of respondents would vote for another candidate, while five per cent are undecided. The election is scheduled for Nov. 2.

The state’s 23 electoral votes went to Democrat Al Gore in 2000, with 51 per cent of the vote. The last Republican to carry Pennsylvania was George H. Bush in 1988.
