We already are socialistic......its almost impossible not to be. There is no such thing as pure capitalism other than in theory.

and those who don't. The pledge of allegience, gay marriage, a cross on a state seal, these are all sideshows.

Not side shows.....they are part of the cultural schism but not the most critical components.

The main divide is between those who want more government, and those who want less.

You do know that gov't has gotten bigger under Bush?

That's obviously wrong.
The Bush team grows government faster than the democrats.
If smaller government were really a goal then it would be happening since they control all the means of power.

That rhetoric is the side show.
