why complain about usa taxes on your usa securities or bonds you own. when i have equities or exchange traded funds (etf's) in japan or canada, i pay their large taxes. i don't get a choice in the matter either. the broker just takes it out and leaves the dough in japan or canada. in other words there is nothing unique about your paying usa taxes on your usa bonds/stocks.
