This is a serious stemming of the tide election .....

.......... If the neo-cons can entrench for four more years, there may be little hope for true democracy here in the US. The problem is that the neo-cons have rallied a force that includes large sectors of the electorate that only support them on single-issue bases. The irony is that those groups are frequently betrayed by the neo-cons, particularly on financial matters. The dimwitted of Nebraska, for example, are not benefitted by tax cuts for Enron-type jagoffs; yet they vote for the likes of Bush for weird flag-waving reasons. That's the rise of fascism. Fear and disinformation are the tools of fascists. Bush is essentially a fascist.

"I love America".
Spirit you liberal proponent of truth, I want you, and every pal I have here on November 2nd to begin your posts that day with that sentence, if you do feel that emotion.
I am only one voice among many patriots here, on this thread, but I would be so pleased to hear those words as a preface to what you all wish to say here that day.
It would be a true thing to speak that day, unless some don't feel that way.
Our moderator knows me, and how I feel about America. We have had some profound P.M.'s.
Maybe I'm wishing for more than I deserve that day.
This is a special place to me, and so with Scott's thread.

I can dream can't I?
