We aren't passing debt on to our children or their childrens children in any greater fashion than we ever have in the history of our country.

This is just ignorant and simplistic thinking. The only way to measure deficits is relative to GDP and it is not anywhere out of line with historical standards. In fact its not even close to being out of historical standards.

Deficits are a necessary and useful tool for managing downturns in our economy as we had after the 9/11 shock or for investing in our future security as we now have to with the war on terror.

To compare government debt to personal debt is silly. People have a limited number of years to earn and repay. Government revenues and growth are virtually unlimited if the proper investments are made in our future.Investments often made through deficits.

The sky is not falling.Nothing is way out of line compared to the past.We should welcome and encourage the growth our lower tax rates will give us.
