dear amy: I dont believe a dirty bomb actually kills a lot of people. Its basically just a conventional explosive (thats what kills) with a relatively mild radioactive casing which is more designed to FRIGHTEN then to kill. Ie area would be radioactive but probably not so radioactive as to cause death from radiation but enough so as to scare people out of the area. It would prove VERY expensive to clean up though. If they really go after KILLING large numbers of people I think it would be something biological or maybe chemical. jdn
