What Hitler like tendencies? Don't be ridiculous. Every dictator isn't Hitler even if the Bushies supported Hitler AND Saddam. The corruption of the Bush Family isn't sufficient to brand any old dictatorial thug a Hitler. Saddam went into Kuwait AFTER TELLING US ABOUT IT AND AFTER WE SAID OKEY DOKEY WE WON'T INTERFERE in a dispute (right or wrong) over land and oil prices after a crippling war with Iran which we also supported. Saddam was not managing to get out of sanctions, Saddam was not going to get WMDs, Saddam was going to write a romantic novel and continue down his path towards insanity. If you believe that Saddam was going to be Hitler, then you must agree that Bush is going to be Hitler as well because Bush could declare martial law, steal another election, drain our treasury for his cronies again and ignore the entire international community again. Your fantasy world excludes other people actually doing things from time to time. Oh yeah, Bush let the NK's probably go nuclear UNDER HIS WATCH. Oh yeah, Bush let the Iranians get much closer to enriching uranium UNDER HIS WATCH. Bush is a lackluster wimp.

He was stopped, it was called the Gulf War. Keeping him contained was a safe plan, he wasn't going to attack us in any form since that would have been suicide and why give up his cushy kingdom just to attack us. You conservatives should stop wasting time arguing and get on a plane and go fight in Iraq if you believe in the war so much. However before you go write a check to the U.S. government to help pay for this debacle.

You have completely lost your mind. Call the typewriter repairman. You need some keys replaced. There are dozens of dictators in the world who hate us and hundreds of them since Hitler. The difference between Hitler and Saddam and all the other tinhorn dictators is that Hitler had an extremely powerful 10-million-man military machine, highly trained and armed to the teeth, a legitimate threat to dominate the world. Are you comparing Saddam's Republican Guard with their standard battle position of "arms up, palms forward" with the Wehrmacht? Ask that question of any veteran of the WW II European Theater and they will look at you like you are berserk. Saddam couldn't have conquered Liechtenstein by himself.
