probably advantage Bush, which suits me, although I still would rather he was dead.

Is syntax problem or you wish Bush was dead?

CB, I'd say Osama's message favours John rather than George because people will think that George really has failed to get the bastard.

George even went so far as to say,

"Who? Osama? Oh yeah, well, who cares about him anyway? He's irrelevant. I'm busy with other stuff. He's hiding in some hills somewhere. On the run. Forget about him. Look, there's Saddam with nuclear bombs about to put mushroom clouds over New York and anyway, it was Saddam who attacked us".

A lot of people will think that King George II ignored the warnings that Osama was coming to get them, did a bad job of getting Osama, and doesn't really care, then switched attention to somewhere which wasn't reallly a problem for the USA anyway. That's after letting a bunch of bin Ladens fly out from the USA when nobody else could fly at all.

I'm not surprised he lost so much support.

Having his face rubbed in it a couple of days before the election won't help him.

Or, as Ray Duray says, it was a fake, jacked up by Bush's crowd to do some shroud-waving to bring the fearful into the fold. I haven't analyzed the Osama report enough to see whether it's a fake or not. It wouldn't surprise me if it is. Ray made some good points about the language as reported in the transcript.
