Incredible as it may sound, it seems that Osama is tired of fighting. I say this because he said something like, "if you leave me and my Moslem brothers and sisters in peace, we will not attack you." It seems that he is so spent that he now wants back away in a face-saving manner.

If Osama had indeed wanted Bush to be re-elected, he could have said, "Re-elect Bush! For me, there is no more worthy opponent than Bush! I want Bush! I want to make him bite the dust and convince you all, once and for all time, that I, Osama bin Laden, am the superior one........!"

Instead of being arrogant, Osama spoke with equanimity and he was generally firm, exculpatory and somewhat conciliatory in tone.

Of course, I do realize that lots of folks have interpreted his speech very differently and found it totally unacceptable! To them all Moslems are treacherous and inimical to Christians and therefore have to be "extinguished" from the face of Earth.
