TWY - AKA Andy Grave

I don't mind you disagreeing with me, and I don't mind your arguing. I've even come to expect the frequent cheap shots. I do ask though that you refrain from making things up. I most certainly know the difference between systematic and random defects. I haven't been including systematic defects as you call them in my estimates of AMD's capability because I have been giving them credit for having those under control to the extent that random defects dominate. Are you suggesting that I have been too generous in my estimates and I need to consider process excursions or poorly controlled process steps when estimating AMD's capacity? That would surely lower things. Looks like your opinion of AMD is lower than mine, or maybe it's just that where you worked the systematic yield loss was a much greater problem compared to the Fabs I monitor. In fact I'd bet on it. How would you describe IBM's current problems? Certainly they aren't random particle defects.

BTW, why do you use different aliases?
