Yes LB it has been called off. I've had calls and emails giving thoughts and reasons for the march to be called off. At this time no one knows for certain 'why' or 'who' was involved. My guess is kerry was able to frighten 1 or more from coming forward. I'm getting the feeling that win or lose the election, the fight kerry started 35 years ago is going to be fought to the end this time. I hope that feeling is correct!

Glad I didn't haul off and head down to DC earlier today! Thought my time might be better spent making myself available to the local Republicans. I still think Bush has a shot at taking Connecticut. I know that flies in the face of conventional wisdom, but the Quinnipiac poll taken 9/30 had Kerry up only 6. A lot has happened since then, including surprise endorsements for Bush from both of the major newspapers in the state. They haven't done a poll in a month. I say the state is in play!

BTW, I have it on good authority the AFL-CIO is responsible for tearing up the Bush/Cheney signs around here.
