Under conventional reality, W's war doesn't particularly make sense. He used 9/11 to get the war he really wanted all along in Iraq, which I guess makes him a hero to people who really dig war, but otherwise seems sort of sleazy. Given the mess he made in Iraq, only the true believer definition of "personal responsibility" would require that he be rewarded, but that's life.

I notice Rudy's been pushing the W / Lincoln thing, though, I imagine it's one of those BS lines that magically propagates through the warblogosphere.
