How is it different then all the past elections? Voting the graveyard is a Democratic tactic at least 150 years old. And the October Surprise has become a new Dem tradition (The Arnold groping story, Casper Weinberg's indictment etc.)

Remember, President Bush should have won in 2000 by 4 percent, but the October Surprise that year was especially effective. And its timing was perfect. The DUI charge was leveled just 2 or 3 days prior to the vote. If Bush wins again one of the reasons will be that CBS and the New York Times let the Dems down. They tried twice but struck out both times. If they had just stuck to the game plan and released the National Guard forged memos and the "missing" explosive stories today, like they should have, Kerry would have won.
