Look .. the 14th amendment that I quoted was passed in response to the civil war.

Those people that were intended targets were people like those who fought with the South.

Americans that fought against the United States and then changed their mind later and tried to run for office.

John Kerry is EXACTLY the kind of American the amendment was written for.

Yes .. it took courage to do what John Kerry did. But there was and is a price to pay for the choice he took.

And that price is his lost ability to be either senator or president.
