END OF A DYNASTY???? The bookstores are full of breathless tomes about the “Bush Dynasty”, the most powerful family in America, a lot of silly allusions to Mafia families, etc. These “books” could be totally irrelevant in a couple of days. If Junior loses, the all-powerful Bush dynasty could be in tatters. Every day, Jeb reveals himself as nothing more than a pathetic flunky and unethical toady for his big brother. He can’t run again for FLA governor in 2006 because of term limits and claims he has no interest in 2008. Such a BIG loss for America. Babs says Big George is chucking stuff at the TV so it may not be long before the patriarch is seeing Paula Zahn’s legs in his oatmeal. Georgie would then replace Big George at Carlyle. Junior’s stint at Carlyle will probably be as impressive as his prior one depending on whether he has enough gray matter left to remember some dirty jokes. Not that any of that matters as long as the big checks clear the bank. The entire family would then be free to devote themselves to their true calling….influence peddling for fun and profit, especially the latter. The question is how much influence will they have to peddle if America emphatically states on Nov 2 that it is absolutely and totally Bushed out. Good riddance. If we must have family dynasties (and we don’t), let’s find a better one.
