The recession offically ended 18 months ago....why are we still deficit spending?

Oh, and we never, never, cut taxes during wartime before. Not in World War I, World War II, Korea, Viet Nam...so why now? Why dig a financial hole that leaves no room for future stimulus if it is needed?

Why do you think a failure to cut domestic government spending has anything to do except exasperate the recession after the bubble of 2000? That spending was not stimulative.
