I think you have blinders on, however I will give you my answer which I believe is the correct answer to each of your quesions:
1. Why did Bush INITIALLY oppose the 9/11 commission?
Answ: Bush believed, and I agree, that during an election year it would be difficult if not impossible for the 9/11 commission to act in a NON PARTISAN manner and get to the TRUTH rather then electioneering. Anyone who watched the hearings AS I DID knows that there was FAR TO MUCH POLITICKING in the preceedings. In the end, it worked out OK but Bush was certainly correct in his initial assessment.

2. Why did Bush initially oppose the Dept of Homeland Security?
Answ: Bush was RELUCTANT as is perfectly understandable to form a HUGE NEW BEURACRATIC AGENCY without first fully understanding JUST what would be the practicality of doing so. Once he convinced himself he moved quickly and most people give him HIGH MARKS for forming this Agency about as efficiently as is possible. Is it perfect, of course not, but its in pretty good shape for the shape its in.

3. Why did he put Steel Tarifs in place then recind them?
Answ: At the time steel tariffs were VERY MUCH necessary to save OUR steel industry from collapse. Later, things improved PLUS the World Court or whatever its called was going to institute significant ADVERSE tariffs against the USA starting a TARIFF WAR. Bush decided, rightly so it was time to rescind the steel tariff to avert such problems.

4. What is the LATEST reason for invading Iraq?
Answ: That is PURELY A POLITICAL STATEMENT. Bush did what he did, with the information he had, which was agreed to by EVERY WORLD INTELLIGENCE AGENCY, and EVEN SADDAMS GENERALS THEMSELVES. It was the PRUDENT thing to do and I support his decision and admire his guts to make it.

5. Does he agree with Giuliani...? Who knows, he has never said so, BUT the thing is it is a POLITICAL STATEMENT. The so-called missing explosives are A TINY FRACTION of what has been found and destroyed. Neither he nor the troops owes ANY apology for it and it wouldnt even be considered if KERRY wasnt the BIGGEST ASS IN POLITICS.

Now, thats the explanations, accept them or not, but QUIT YOUR DAMN WHINING its irritating. jdn
