Any time we get into non-profit then we are into organizations that are supported either by the government with grants and by tax dollars-----or by charitable contributions.

You cannot escape government involvement-----what seems like non-partisan, non-govermental and non-profit will be controlled by an organization/corporation authorized by the government to do the task.

We have a representative form of government. Within that representative form of goverment each party has the right to have representation in the process.

I have no problem with private corporation designing the best voting machines-----let's go for it and develope a system that works well 99% of the time. And, if they make a profit great!
