I did nothing of the sort. I don't pat myself on the back at all. I do, however, give money to charity. I put my money where my mouth & heart are. I asked you if you do the same and you responded with name calling. I have no time for that because it's typically a defense mechanism for people who don't do anything. What you want is for the Government to transfer wealth and I think thats incorrect. The government, charities and civic minded people should see to that those who can't provide for themselves are taken care of. Anything more than that is *usually* asking for a handout.

Ask not what your country can do for you

Ask what you can do for your country!

I might add that I think your attempts to assail my character because I've been honest about what I give to charity is both wrong and disingenuous. Instead of criticizing it you should applaud it.
