Thanks so much for that recommendation. I had never thought of it. Although a friend found a neat dog (Alaska Huskey) that was raised by inmates at a womens prison somewhere here in WA state......sorry can't remember off hand which is was.

I hadn't thought of rescue groups. I bet I could find out easily at google.

I'll definitely check that out when I'm ready to commit.
