>> Whoever has the content will get the listeners

Fine. So, Sirius got Stern so it will get the listeners. That's your analysis, right? Or is there SOME OTHER CONTENT that is going to influence listeners?

Please, rather than being critical, how about answering the question. What content, other than that which is already in place and potentially Limbaugh, is going to matter?

>> Now come back with the same BS about hardware controlling.

I simply said that for now, for the forseeable future, hardware is one of a couple of controlling factors. Personally, I believe the hardware is a bigger factor today than is content. You've said yourself NFL and MLB aren't important. Again, that leaves Stern.

Your in-depth analysis is that the company who got Stern wins the subscriber battle. If this isn't a correct assessment of your thinking, please tell me how I'm wrong. Again, please answer the question. Then we can proceed to other subjects if you still want to.

Content versus Hardware :

1st I'd define hardware as the combination of the functionality of the various radios and the OEM/retail channel deals to move the hardware.

In the 1st year or so SIRI had a content advantage because they were commercial free. After XM went commercial free the content became equal.

If my assumptions are correct than you'd have to agree that hardware has been the determining factor to date as XM now has more than a 3 to 1 lead in subscribers.

IMHO I also think that for the immediate future the OEM deals and some of the radio features(a walkman specifically) will outsell any percieved content advantage by SIRI. And don't forget that nitpicky $9.95 versus $11.95 pricing......It's amazing what $2 will do to a consumer.......

Although I think you may be accurate in your vision.......I think you awe are a bit to early in your call.

Be well,

Mike
