Michael,

Those are what I call "momentum" bands. The normal Bollinger Bands have too much elasticity to them. This particular setting seems to track a trend very well.

Buy when price breaks above them and hold as long as price stays above the momentum bands, sell when price drops below them.

Note how the OIH performed when price stayed above the bands. As soon as the price dropped below the middle of those bands, the entire character of the trend changed.

I use that setting to track momentum.
