We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records. Interesting the lack of liberal pressdenouncement of Hillary. I don't recall seeing hundreds of articles criticising her. She is not president nor did she start a war. Why does the prospect of a free Iraq scare you so much? Come on.......I know its the 'silly season' but you can do better than that. There are terrible things happening there. There are home grown terrorists, and foreign terrorists like Abu Al Zarqawi. There is also very good news from Iraq on a daily basis. Here is a brief list from a month ago: It doesn't matter how many new schools or new shops are built in Iraq if the students or the shoppers stand a good chance of getting killed on their way to either that new school or shop.

One member of the group, the only woman, said the pessimistic tone of Arab coverage was making things worse by encouraging terrorists and demoralizing those who supported democracy. Another journalist, a man in a dark suit, said the insurgents "don't represent the Iraqi people." Arab reporters, said a third, "try to give the impression that it's hopeless. If you watch the satellite channels from Arab countries you would imagine there's no rebuilding going on." This is accurate, and it is completely shameful of the Arab media. However, since the coalition is essentially mounting an assault on Arab regimes (Iraq 1st, if successful, others next) it should have ANTICIPATED this, and today it should be force feeding Arab media the stories about the development that is going on in Iraq, and lambasting the Arab media that don't give those development stories equal time. The Arab media is controlled by the regimes that will be overthrown if Iraq is successful, so Bush should have anticipated them to be hostile and should have prepared a response plan........years ago! More evidence of lack of planning for the rebuilding phase by George.
