"America to stop killing for profit" ?....when they pry my cold dead fingers from my Ferrari ! Actually, I think we should stop trying to police the world - get out of Haiti (no oil anyway), Balkans (no oil), Germany (too expensive) etc. We should concentrate on actual threats - North Korea, Iran. And dedicate the rest of our activity to grabbing resources in areas we can control, like Ecuador, Columbia, Peru, Carribean, offshore West Africa (talk of a new Naval Base) and the Persian Gulf. I'm sure we can reach aggrements with the Russians about what to do with Central Asian resources. I believe US policy (post 9/11) now states that Chechnya is a Russian internal matter ;-) As for the hearts and minds of people....
