Most likely Kerry received an "Undesirable" Discharge. This is less than honorable, but does not carry the full stigma of "Dishonorable." The Honorable Discharge that comes up on his web site indicates that it was the result of a Board review, which strongly suggests that it was a reversal of an earlier discharge decision. In the ordinary course of events in the military, discharges are not granted by a "review board." I am sure that many in the media are well aware of the true story. Maybe they will admit to this after the election, just as the full story of the Rather forgeries is being held back until after the election.
