moulting liberal hawks

LMAO!

A mot juste if there ever was one.

But they're not really moulting, just morphing because they have no prospects in a Bush II administration. However, after Dean's meltdown, their political prospects improved drastically as Kerry's star began its ascent. These guys don't want to be stuck in think-tanks or magazines, and I don't blame them.

Pollack is an unfortunate example.

After a substantial period of hand-wringing and obfuscation, he finally admitted recently that he was wrong because the intelligence was wrong.

Folks are lining up for any political spoils that might come their way. Which is natural and expected; no big deal.

Can't really blame them. The jockeying for position game is being played.

I'm afraid they're going to be disappointed, though many of them, i.e., Pollack, Zakaria, are genuine stars with huge futures ahead of them, but not necessarily in any GOP administration.

A good reason not to moult.
