Uh we control land area wise a small part of Iraq because 85% of Iraq is desert and uninhabited, and there is no reason to have massed troops in predominantly shi'a areas. Baghdad and Fallujah and Ramadi are the only places where troops are needed. If you're advocating troops be everywhere, including the deserts and Shi'a and Kurd areas, you don't understand efficient use of available resources.
