LOL sounds like a good spin line... not.

Kerry was making comments on the OBL tape within minutes, from the tarmac of some airstrip if memory serves me correctly. He seemed to function just fine, and there certainly was no time to conduct a poll by then.

I certainly do not blame either campaign for polling to try to understand if the appearance of OBL had an impact, and of what nature, to their campaigns. You can be sure the RNC was polling too.
