Not only have we gotten rid of sanctions, as near as I can remember our troops are supposed to be mostly out of Saudi. And not only was American troops out of Saudi one of Bin Laden's goals, it was one of Carranza2's also, see techstocks.com for example. So, Bin Laden, the Saudis, and C2 should all be happy. Unfortunately, I sort of doubt that any viable independent government of Iraq will be able to support big American bases there in the long term, so there may be a fly in the grand strategic ointment there. But Bin Laden should still be happy, anyway.

And i suppose the Taliban rule in Afganistan which of course was mostly an al quaeda creation must indicate he was pro-modernity then? Yes let's take him at his word. What a joke. mike
